August 20, 2009 turned out another great game for LA. All of the boys played very well, even Weaver who seemed a bit shaky held it together. Loney proved that his slump is behind him as the Cubs chose to walk him, getting to Martin, who apparently felt like an easy out. Maybe Next Time!! With Bases loaded Mr. J Martin slammed it to the outfield bringing the boys up 4 runs! Dodgers won 7-2 over Cubs. 
One of my favorite plays of the game came during the second inning when Matt Kemp slid into second base breaking up a possible double play by legitimately taking out baseman Theriot, who basically fell on his face and could not complete the play.
Kemp slid with his right foot extended out and as he completed his slide, his foot curved in wrapping around the ankle of Theriot, taking him down while Kemp finished his play. Poor Theriot just layed there for a few seconds, probably pissed off, embarassed and sad he doesn't have recovery skills like our 27.
