Daily Gratitude
Love life! I am so grateful for where I am and what I am doing at this time. I hope to continue on a path of success and wonderful endeavors. My dream is to have my own show created and air on television. I am looking forward to meeting many new people, making great connections and allowing myself the freedom to act how I want to act while maintaining great integrity and positivity. I want to open myself up more to the world and the people around me. I need to connect in order to move on the path I dream of living. Each day is a part of my dream and I look forward to fulfilling great steps in reaching my goals every moment. I need to work on being completely present in the moment; I've passed by on moments recently that could have turned into something more had I taken the time to really connect and realize what I am doing. Only minutes later do I wish I would have done or said something other than I did and I want to make sure that I have very few moments like that in the future. I want the stories I tell my friends and family to have more success and achievements rather than 'if only' comments. I am very excited for my future and what life has in store. I look forward to the days as they unfold and want to act as the best person I can, help people live happily and healthfully, enjoying each second as it passes. I love you life, God and Angels, thank you so much for my life and the guidance I am provided with. Please allow me to listen to the feelings and the voices that will help guide me in the most appropriate direction for the moment and lead me to the best life I can live. Amen.

Happy Friday the 13th!
Okay, so now that I'm getting older, so is this boy! 28 isn't that much older than 25 now is it?! :-D I'm too old for Justin Bieber and have been within inches of him and he did nothing for me, except give me the urge to slap that disgusted looking smile off of his face (too much?!). I have two types - the Paul Walker/Jesse McCartney type OR the Matt Kemp/Mike Catherwood type - here is an example of Mr. McCartney and all of his sexy boyish charming ways. Glad to see he is still around. Happy Friday (the 13th) Enjoy!

How Time Flies
My how things change. It really is amazing how the universe works if we just step back, take a deep breath and live. If you are having any issues with how your life is going, I urge you to take some time out of your day and think - or not think at all. Have some paper and something to write with, begin thinking of where you hope your life will go. Write all of your goals down, scribble, jot - no need for full proper sentences. Your life is built by you and hopefully guided by faith when you connect and lead the path you were meant to follow.
One year ago today my income came from unemployment as I looked for work, hoped for the best, prayed for guidance and started living with a positive attitude. I was the only person getting in my way. Of course, people will come and go in your life and seem to be the ones who cause changes but it's all for the best when you can let go and let God. My life was "all shook up" and because I could not control it I began feeling more stressed out, sad and lost. I had come full circle back to the city I grew up, same nieghborhood, same friends - I obviously had something to figure out. What are the lessons I need to learn? Where am I going? Who am I?
Something hit me one day, literally like a tap in the gut and slowly I started realizing that I needed to Live; really get out in the world each day and do something, smile at people, chat with them, help others, volunteer! While my life is mine, living is about creating connections and making a difference in each day.
We don't know which moment is our last - if it were this one, are you happy with how you have lived? What impact did you make on the people in your life? What activities make you happy? Who do you enjoy spending time around? Surround yourself with the joys in life, people and things that help you smile. Let go of people and environments that bring dark energy to your day. When I lived in a cloudy world, I blamed people around me for why I felt bad - the last straw broke when I blamed a black cat for one of my worst weeks ever. Months later I started leaving water and food out for that cat because he just hung around and I realized he was around as a lesson; to help me wake up and take responsibility for myself.
I took stock in my life, the things I knew for sure and started visualizing where I want to go. I went back to the basics - in some ways I had to, and in many ways simplicity is what we need to gain clarity. There is so much energy in the world getting in the way of our primary needs. To really tune in we must turn off, tone down. Not to say that life is all roses and rainbows - although there is a good amount - but that is life. I'm working to go with the flow even more and do what I need to in order to live my best life. As long as I am living in the most complete, effective way for me then I am doing what I can for this world and hopefully making a difference on my path to live a fulfilling life.
Good luck on your journey!

Can't Buy Me Love
One of my first music memories: My dad calling a local Las Vegas radio station to request The Beatles "Can't Buy Me Love" and hearing it shortly after. It was such a fun moment, just like when I finally stayed upright on my two wheeled bicycle! I'll always look back on my life and think of certain moments fondly, just the way I look back and think about my father. He once wrote me a note telling me to think of him anytime I see a Dove. A bird I see rarely, which at this very moment I realize is spot on for what it represents. He helped give me life, bring me into this world, and give me the sense of adventure to enjoy all this life has to offer. The time that he was in my life may have been short in comparison to the hours I've lived but sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference in life. Estranged might be a good word to use but whatever grammatical term fits best, he was my father, the man who taught me how to ride a bike, enjoy a chocolate - anything! - and contributed to my head full of kinky curls. I honestly must say, I am super thankful to have been born to him. Many of the trials and tribulations I've gone through are a result of him, his actions, or his genes and I would not be who I am or where I am today if not for it all. I have only great memories of him and if my thoughts ever waiver from smiles it is only because he did what he needed to do in order for my life to turn out well. Thank you to my Mom for understanding the type of person my father was, for explaining it and helping me understand as well. For all of my life I will remember my father and give thanks that he lived and hope that he is hanging out around me, guiding me towards exciting events.
Ooooh...he got me!
That darn Blake Shelton, let's go "Drink On It" and I'll tell you a story... A story about a country singer who has charisma, budding blue eyes, and a new single that has sparked up this girl's interest in Country Music. I'll tell you what - just after the second listen, I know that song from the first beat. Like any other good song I love, it makes me want to melt in my seat and burst out of it all at the same time.
La Vida es Bella
Especially when you can drop cash like Kobe Bryant - daaaaayyyyuuuummm!!! I'm drooling over the picture, the thought of seeing it drive past me on the road would be lovely but what about driving this beautiful machine?!! Ummm, yes please! Wet Black would be perfect, thanks. :-D One day folks, one day.

Nice Try Vicky!
So the Angels of Victoria's Secret are going to visit the Beverly Center next week and would love people to come hang out. If seeing tall, thin, gorgeous women up close isn't enough to draw you in, their promotions people have teamed up with Coolhaus to deliver delicious ice cream sandwiches to those already drooling over the idea of meeting models in awesome push up bras. Does anyone else realize the greatness of this combination?? Victoria's Secret Angels + Coolhaus if you didn't already feel inadequate near the beauties, stuff your face with some ice cream made with rose petals or bacon pieces and brown sugar - those combinations will dazzle your mind and help fog the fact that you are standing in a line waiting to meet a woman because she is pretty, looks great airbrushed in photos, and most likely will not ever taste Coolhaus ice cream. Event happens Thursday 3/29, the same day Touch airs on FOX, Check 'em out!

BEASTMODE DON'T CARE
So Inspiring! I may be a girl but adapting into Beastette mode works. This just shows you what it means to have determination and use it. Focus your mind on a goal and work towards seeing it come into your life. Work it Matt!! Keep up the amazing training. Looking forward to seeing how it all plays out this season. Go Dodgers! Go all of us!
Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day!
Such a fun day! Whether it's just wearing some green and eating corned beef, drinking beer - or partying with friends, I hope you enjoyed your St. Patty's Day. This year I celebrated by hitting up the Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training Camp in Glendale, AZ. Just outside of Phoenix, it took about 6 hours to drive. Really a decent drive, if there is no traffic, especially because I am so used to driving - long distances at that. I am thankful the weather held out for us during Saturday night's game - would have been sad to miss out on Dugout Club seats! Such a great spot to view a game. The sounds are so much better, the view is undeniable of course. Very lucky to have gotten in on the ticket on sale when I did! The boys in blue switched it up this night to show a little love to the Irish, Spring, Training and wore green jerseys. The game ended in a 3/3 tie, being preseason, they don't push it and just agree to call it a night. No matter what the tribute night may be - it's always time to root for the boys in Blue. Let's Go Dodgers!

Sharing Thoughts
Walking on coals is done as a sense of adventure, as long as you keep moving you should have a good time and feel invigorated - it's when you begin to hesitate, second guess or even stop, that you have the potential to get burned and possibly scarred for life. I just put that together as a good reference for life in general - especially those times when you are on the border of having a good time and taking things too far. I work on praying to stay in line, to live a great life and make sure to see that I choose the way that will help me stay on a path for experiencing wonderful events and maintaining a happy life. What is my intention? If another person may affect your decision, what is their intention? I suggest knowing both before making many choices. It is hard to do at times, especially when you may only have seconds, not really know the people around you, or are at war with yourself and what you really want. It is completely possible to enjoy life and many types of people, so long as you know yourself, what you are willing to do - know your limits and understand the basic concept of life - for every action there are consequences and we need to accept the outcomes of our choices. I hope that I continue to live my life in ways that will allow me to experience many more years on this Earth, interact with thousands of more people, live healthfully and happily, maintaining positive realtionships and connections with caring individuals.

Congrats!!
I don't know what it is but I love this picture and am actually feeling a sense of happiness for the couple! Rapper Wiz Khalifa is now engaged to Amber Rose and I'm excited about it! haha That's a good thing right? Even though I don't know them. I was on board with Wiz's music when I first heard it and thought that Amber totally fits better with him than Kanye. I recently heard an interview when they were on Power 106 here in Los Angeles and decided that I really liked them and now this! Hopefully they will actually end up getting married and make it work. :-) Plus I have not ever really looked at a ring and thought, oh, THIS is it but dang...simple but noticable, super classy (looks like a good amount of carats kids! Nice job you two).

Leap Year!
There are so many celebrations going on today; little deals from a lot of retailers, big chain restaurants, Disneyland is even open a full 24 hours! I really wish I could go there today - yes, crowded as all could be but still an event - they are bringing back Fantasmic, starting tonight (tomorrow morning) at 1 a.m. really though, if you weren't one of the first 2,000 people to enter the park, you missed out - free mouse ears! Google has a cute homepage today, goes well with Leap Year ;-) Happy 29th of February, 2012
THE LORAX
It's finally time!! The Lorax is hitting the big screen this Friday, March 3rd. I for one have been wanting to squeeze the little orange fellow and play with his mustache - so needless to say, I am very excited to watch the defender of nature and all his friends on the big screen. Another plus, the Lorax is voiced by Danny DeVito, whom I love and think is a super perfect fit. I was also entertained by Zac Efron's little snafu on the red carpet at the movie's premiere; if you haven't heard, he took his hand out of his pocket to shake someone's hand, and out with his hand also flew a gold wrapped condom. He picked it up immediately and if you watch the video, notice he also then turns around to feign a cough to cover up a good chuckle. Props to the boy for bringing protection, more for needing, or believing he needs the magnum size. Go support the Dr. Suess estate this weekend :-)

Sprinkles Ice Cream!
I'll scream for this! Sounds super yummy. I am a fan of Sprinkles Cupcakes, much more so than Crumbs and many others. I just read a post from their site that they are introducing an ice cream store next door. Mmmm, looking forward to tasting some of that soon! (After Lent of course, this year I decided to give up sweets, as well as fast food and soda. I did it last year, thought I'd give it another go.)
